Balinee Milk Producer Company
Balinee Milk Producer Company Limited incorporated under Company Act 2013, on 24th January 2019 with its headquarter in Jhansi Uttar Pradesh the company has the objective of safeguarding the interest of member producers(exclusively women) by providing round the year access to organize market in fair and transparent manner, timely payment, capacity building and providing livestock support services to increase milk productivity.
The Company was set up under the project titled “Dairy Value Chain Development in Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh” financially supported by National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) & Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission (UP-SRLM) with NDDB Dairy Services (NDS) as Technical Support Agency.
The project in its first phase cover 5 districts of Bundelkhand namely Jhansi, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Banda and Chitrakoot and expand its coverage to other two districts namely Lalitpur and Mahoba subsequently.
The Company was formally inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath in December 2019. Currently the company has mobilized around 63000 women milk producers. These members together supply around 2.15 lakh kgs of milk per day.
The company has put in place an efficient system of milk procurement at every procurement village.The milk is weighted, tested and the value is calculated without manual intervention in the presence of producer using Data Processor-cum-milk collection unit (DPMCU). The real time data is transferred using GPRS to central server, and the milk payment is transferred directly to the individual member’s bank account once in ten days. Members are provided acknowledgment receipt about the details and value of the milk poured. The Company has recently launched its own brand of Ghee “Balinee”.
Further, to improve the productivity of milch animals and to make available the quality Input services at affordable prices, the MPC has initiated breeding, nutrition and advisory services in its coverage villages.The company has also ensured availability of good quality Cattle Feed are specific Mineral Mixture in its brand name “Balinee Gold” and “Balinee Min” respectively in its procurement villages and has also promoted and propagated “Green Fodder Root and Seed” to reduce the cost of milk production and increase income of producer members.
